Dear friends!
On February 24, 2022, began the war in Ukraine. Our country was subjected to aggression by the Russian Federation. The treacherous invasion from the nearest country led to the catastrophic destruction of cities and villages in Ukraine. Heavy artillery fire, air bombardments and cruise missiles daily destroy the civilian population, leave people homeless, and make children to stay in basements. Millions of people had to leave their homes and seek refuge in the west of our country and in Europe. Millions are statistics, but behind each figure lies the tragedy of a personal fate or an entire family.
Since the first days of the war, the activities of our volunteers in Kharkiv, Kyiv and Lviv have been aimed at evacuating refugees from the war zone. We have teamed up with the charitable foundation “Right of Choice” and, with the support of the Lviv Regional State Administration, we accept groups of people, settle them and help them get to Europe.
We are also collecting humanitarian supplies and sending it to Kharkiv and Kyiv for people left under shelling. And we do our best to help every person and child in need.
We thank for the help of every caring person who helps Ukrainians to survive today.
Sincerely, Olesya Popova, People’s Ambassador of Ukraine, President of the Kharkov Regional Charitable Foundation “Conference of St. Vincent de Paul”
